14 The life of a first responder has never been more hazardous than it is today. In an alarming trend, more first responders lose their lives to suicide than to tragedies in the line of duty. The Stock Show, in partnership with an organization called R3: Respond. Restore. Resolve. and the American Warrior Association, will bring a new unique feature to the February 1, 7:30 p.m. FWSSR PRORODEO Tournament to draw awareness to this crucial issue. Every guest will receive a complimentary CrowdSync LED bracelet that will allow them to participate in a highenergy music and light show that highlights the R3 program. Confronting the mental health crisis headon by providing a proactive framework focused on mental wellness and resilience, R3 isn’t just a program but a lifeline that provides vital resources to the amazing first responders who serve our communities Click here to see how it works. NOPE. THAT’S NOT ALL! Shining a Light on a First Responder Crisis The FWSSR’s All-Western Parade is one of the oldest in the nation and one of the few that is entirely equine-powered. Taking place January 18 at 11 a.m., fans can line the streets of the parade route starting at the Tarrant County Courthouse on Main Street, then looping around to Houston Street. With more than 140 entries, expect to see nearly 3,000 horses, dozens of wagons, the TCU and other marching bands and this year, the parade is honoring U.S. Olympic team members competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics from the North Texas area.
