3 THE FORT WORTH STOCK SHOW & RODEO | WITH THE KIDS Doorways to Agriculture, produced by Texas Farm Bureau and presented by Texas Farm Bureau Insurance, is really going to be ginning in 2025 with the introduction of its mini cotton gin to its already fascinating display. The cotton gin is a machine that separates cotton fibers from seeds, leaves, sticks and outside elements such as soil and other debris. Snap a photo in the photo area. Dig into farm facts through games. Spin cotton into thread, or stroll through the trailer to see just how much agriculture is involved in your life. Texas Farm Bureau’s Doorways to Agriculture invites you to check out the deaily presentation of “Marvels of Texas Cotton Production,” with is miniature cotton gin, and learn more about what Texas farmers and ranchers do to clothe and feed us. Presentations daily at 2:30, 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. From the chance to catch a real(!) fish to getting up close to a hawk or trying their hand at archery, safely supervised of course, kids and their parents will have a fun day of interaction with wildlife and other creatures while learning more about conservation and environmental concerns. Better make a plan, though, because it only happens on Sunday, February 2, starting at 11 a.m. in Arena 2, formerly known as the Cattle Arena.
