Taking $1,200 and a belt buckle for their respective intermediate titles were Champion Male shooter Cline Mangum of Poth FFA and Champion Female Shooter Dale Compton of Wharton County 4-H. AIM FOR EDUCATION The event also recognized the academic prowess of students entered in the competition for a chance at $20,000 in scholarships. The competition tests high school senior competitors on a robust curriculum covering shooting, as well as wildlife and land conservation topics. The contestants were evaluated through an online exam and the top scoring contestants advanced to an in-person presentation to a three-judge panel.
