10 Moorhouse Ranch has a strong ranching legacy, which was born in the early 1900s, and continues still today. The ranch operates in King and Knox counties in Texas, where they run a cow/calf and stocker operation and raise Quarter Horses. Their success is partially due to the quality of ranch horses they raise and use daily. Moorhouse Ranch maintains one of the best rmudas of American Quarter Horses as their noted offspring have been an influential part of the promotion and popularity of the Quarter Horse. Their many awards include “Top Ranch Horse of the World” at the RHAA finals in 1997 along with numerous other “Top Horse” awards. At the 2002, “Best of the West Invitational Rodeo,” a 1997 Moorhouse Stallion named Waurika was awarded “Best of America’s Horse.” They focus on producing strong, athletic horses with good dispositions and cow sense to be used in every aspect on a ranch.
