Through a relentless commitment to efficiency, innovation, and quality, that cow camp grew to become one of America’s largest and most respected cattle operations. King Ranch now spans 825,000 acres where it maintains industry – leading genetics for Santa Gertrudis and American Red Beef Cattle. A founding member of the AQHA, King Ranch has bred and registered more American Quarter Horses than any other ranch or operation in history with currently over 7,300 in registry. In 2013, the King Ranch Quarter Horse program implemented a new strategic approach designed to build upon the proven practices refined by generations of master horsemen on the Ranch and reinforce its OLD SORREL bloodline. This new strategy yielded results sooner than expected when CORONEL DEL RANCHO became the 2021 AQHA Versatility Junior Ranch Horse World Champion. Our 2022 and 2023 foal crops are sired by all three current King Ranch stallions MARSALA RED, KINENOS MOON, and CORONEL DEL RANCHO as well as some of the industry’s leading stallions and performers including WR THIS CATS SMART, THE BOON, and SANCTUS.
