2 NEWS BRIEFS Entries to the 2025 FWSSR Livestock Show & Rodeo will open September 15. Premium books will be live at fwssr.com for livestock, horse show and poultry, pigeon and rabbit shows. Timely entry is strongly encouraged with the reminder that there is a firm entry deadline of November 15 for livestock and horse show entries. Poultry, pigeon and rabbit entries are due December 15. The horse show will accept late entries with the payment of appropriate late fees until December 30. Entries for the 2025 FWSSR All-Western Parade will be accepted beginning October 1 with both entry applications and liability waivers available online for the 2025 parade. Information on the parade can be found at fwssr.com under the “participate” tab. The FWSSR will host a $6,000-added money 5D open barrel race, produced by Wild West Productions, February 4, 2025. With an entry fee of $175, the event is limited to 200 entries, and will also offer a $2,000 scholarship to the fastest 14–18-year-old competitor. Pre-entry begins December 2 at 8 a.m. on the NextGen Rodeo App and will close at 4 p.m., December 30. Learn more on page 9.
