4 Large weekend crowds at the Stock Show can significantly strain the parking and street infrastructure around the Will Rogers Memorial Center and Dickies Arena. Because of the popularity of events on the Show’s second weekend, traffic management and parking capacity have been challenges. Every good challenge is a good opportunity to learn and improve. Stock Show officials are altering the 2022 schedule to better accommodate growing crowds of weekend guests and exhibitors. “We knew the 2020 Show would be a learning year for us with the addition of Dickies Arena,” said Stock Show President and General Manager Brad Barnes. “It became obvious that, moving forward, we needed to tweak our schedule to help alleviate congestion during a crucial weekend of the Show.” In 2020, the second weekend featured two rodeo performances on Saturday and one on Sunday. Popular junior livestock shows that weekend added thousands of youth and adult leaders from across the state to the Will Rogers Memorial Center. Good weather and great guest turnout exacerbated the congestion near the Cattle Barns and Dickies Arena resulting in parking shortages and traffic jams. For 2022, management will take advantage of a lighter exhibitor presence on the Show’s third weekend and use that flexibility to schedule more rodeo performances. “Growth always brings new challenges, and we’ll continue to look for ways to alleviate logjams and make attending the Show more enjoyable,” said Barnes. “We’re extremely grateful for the growth and support of our guests and exhibitors and will always strive to make the Stock Show better for everyone.” 2022 FWSSR OFFERS SCHEDULE CHANGES New schedule is designed to help alleviate weekend traffic and parking woes. 2022 SCHEDULE CHANGES Saturday, January 22, 2022 one rodeo performance - 7:30 p.m. Sunday, January 23, 2022 one rodeo performance - 2 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2022 two rodeo performances - 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022 two rodeo performances - 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Club Seats in Dickies Arena Club Seat amenities go far beyond enjoying the legendary Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo performances in the beautiful and spacious Dickies Arena.
