This gelding is from the first crop by our son of A Shiner Named Sioux and out of a home-bred and raised mare. He’s gone through the best hands that we have at our disposal. Started correctly by LJ Stovell, Tanner Lambert then got him started in the roping pen, and Kelsey Thomas has been instilling her stellar program into him since July. "Sioux" is the epitome of ranch horse that has the potential to go excel in several different facets of our industry. He was raised in rough and brushy country, so he travels extremely well outside. Although he’s not the biggest guy in the trailer, he’s plenty stout and tenacious - he's got that want-to drive! He really tries to please you and work for you. Sioux stays pretty even-keeled, but he responds well once asked to rev things up. Even more important than that, he’s got a great stop whenever it’s time to slow everything down again. We would bet our money that he’ll end up being one the whole family can enjoy for many, many years to come.
